The Wishing Chair takes its name from a stone carved seat at Tullan Strand Beach, a short walk from our shop in County Donegal, on the coast of Northwest Ireland. The original Wishing Chair is associated with fairy folklore, and it is said that a visit to the Wishing Chair will ensure good health, and good fortune.

We have collected Irish made art, crafts and gifts that represent elements of the history and culture  of Ireland, and the high quality of our own artists, designers and businesses.

Most of our products are locally sourced in Donegal, and everything in the shop is Irish-made. Goods that are purchased here support our local community and demonstrate the imagination and talent of local Irish artists and creatives.
