Nora Gallagher
My name is Nora Gallagher, I am artist originally from Co.Tyrone, living and
working in the south Donegal area for almost 25 years.
I came to Ballyshannon as a ceramic designer for a local pottery and never
left - and why would I!
Donegal and it surrounds are an artists paradise, the rugged landscape and
ever changing light provide endless inspiration. From muted cool winter grey’s
to blazing orange sunsets, the opportunities are endless.
My work is primarily in acrylic for my landscape paintings and in pastel for my
portraits.
I have been stretching and framing my own work for a long time, and with
opening a new studio in Ballyshannon recently I hope I’ll have the space to
continue my passion into the future.
