We are delighted to stock a selection of 'Meab' handcrafted jewellry and art. The Meab story started over 50 years ago, when a young Meab set out on her travels around Europe. She was inspired by great artists such as Faberge, the renowned enamellist. She was also inspired by local crafts people who were able to re-use materials to create unique and vibrant designs. Meab and her daughter Clair work from their studio in the midlands of Ireland, combining their unique ‘open fired’ designs with other metal settings to create simple yet striking pieces.
The design for this 100% silk scarf was originally created using Meab’s bespoke ‘Open Fired’ enamelling method. The fabulous colours in the design of this scarf were first created by melting glass enamel on to copper. This process allows Meab to create unique and vibrant colour combinations in the design of her silk scarf collection. A beautifully vibrant & luxurious accessory for any outfit.
