ABOUT MARK LANGAN
GUITARIST & VOCALIST
I began playing guitar when I was 10 and now 23 years on I have played all over Ireland, The UK, Italy and The Netherlands. My old band "Moonchild" performed classic rock covers and occasional Rory Gallagher tribute sets. On June 2nd 2010 we were honoured to play at the unveiling of the Rory Gallagher Statue in Ballyshannon. we supported the renowned Irish band "Horslips" in 2012 in our hometown of Ballyshannon, County Donegal and earlier that year we supported "Rory Gallagher`s" old band in Wijk Aan Zee, The Netherlands. I have been playing solo acoustic gigs in some of the finest hotels in the North West of Ireland for the last 10 years, honing my craft and finding myself! My original music is sometimes dark and cinematic. I love film scores, my greatest ambition would be to have one of my pieces featured in a film. My influences? Enya / Clannad - Mark Knopfler - Rory Gallagher - Ennio Morricone - Slash (Guns n Roses) I can be found playing at Harvey's Point & Lough Eske Castle in Donegal weekly, no ticket needed! Thanks, Mark
